How Genie Thailand started
6 September, 1948
Genie Insurance fomerly known as China Insurance (Thai) Public Company Limited started on September 16, 1948. The General insurer insured largely trades from Shanghai, China and Taiwan, with the major shareholders being Mega International Commercial Bank and Sornakorn Bank.
Formation of Genie Finance Thailand
February 2021
BOT gave approval for Genie Finance Thailand as a multi-finance company, the plan is to expand the productive loans in the automotive trade and provide insurance to these people
China Insurance renamed to Genie Insurance
April 2021
In April 2021, China Insurance (Thai) Public Company was renamed as Genie Insurance Public Company Limited. The mission and vision remained the same. However, the company aims to be more digitalized and focuses on providing its customers with the best next-generation online insurance.
